SpyBorgs

Bionic Game Studio | 2009

Video Game

In 2008, I joined Bionic Games Studio, a small independent game studio made up of industry veterans. We were making an old school type smash 'em up, brawler game for today. A new take on a throw back game genre, if you will. My responsibilities were creating cut scene animations as well as gameplay animations for both playable and non playable charaters. In addition, I was given a task to provide additional storyboard revisions and camera layout for the game's cut scenes. It was a lot of fun and learned and grew even more as an artist.

Below are some examples of animation and layout for the project. Check it Out!

Worked on layout as well as animation of the above sequences. The only thing thats certain in game production is there is always not enough time to finish given off the cinematics.  So make the most of it. An average of 2 to 4 weeks from layout to final animation was given to complete. Check out my shots!

Responsibilities: Performed camera layout, shot staging, character blocking and character animation

Software: Maya

SpyBorgs was a incredible game to work on and to have the opportunity animate such awesome characters. It was fun to work on a number of cut scene animations as well as gameplay animations coming up with innovative attack combos to different personalities for each of the characters. Although it wasn't received with such great accolades as we had hoped. It was great to be a part of such talented group of artists, animators, designers and programmers
